Yorke LP via BitTorrent

TOMORROW'S DELIVERY METHODS: On the heels of U2’s grand giveaway, Thom Yorke has cooked up a nontraditional album release for his Nigel Godrich-assisted solo album Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes. It’s “distributed by BitTorrent, and it’ll set you back six bucks. “It’s an experiment to see if the mechanics of the system are something that the general public can get its head around,” the collaborators explained. “If it works well it could be an effective way of handing some control of internet commerce back to people who are creating the work.” You can download the album or by it on vinyl here; you’ll also be invited to download the audio and video of the decidedly gloomy album track “Brain in a Bottle” for free.
