Oct. workout tracks

TOP 10 WORKOUT TRACKS FOR OCTOBER: Can’t remember a month when the gym rats’ picks tallied at Run Hundred have mirrored the Pop charts so closely, although three of the 10 Pop hits below have received remix makeovers. Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” is the fastest track we’ve seen on the chart in a while; webmaster Chris Lawhorn helpfully points out that it's the best song in the list for running. We’ll take this opportunity to add that KONGOS’ “Come With Me Now” is the best song in the list for spinning.

Taylor Swift - “Shake It Off” – 160 BPM
OneRepublic - “Love Runs Out (Grabbitz Remix)” – 124 BPM
Ariana Grande & Zedd - “Break Free” – 130 BPM
KONGOS - “Come With Me Now” – 104 BPM
Charli XCX - “Boom Clap (Surkin Remix)” – 93 BPM
Iggy Azalea & Rita Ora - “Black Widow” – 82 BPM
Demi Lovato & Cher Lloyd - “ Really Don't Care” – 121 BPM
Kiesza - “Hideaway” – 123 BPM
Magic! - “Rude (Zedd Remix)” – 130 BPM
Echosmith - “Cool Kids” – 130 BPM

While we’re on the subject, we’ve spin-tested and heartily endorse the following current entries on the Alternative and Triple A airplay charts: Spoon’s “Do You,” The Black Keys’ “Gotta Get Away,” Big Data’s “Dangerous,” alt-J’s “Left Hand Free,” The War on Drugs’ “Red Eyes,” and U2’s “The Miracle (of Joey Ramone).” (10/15a)
