HOT MILK: Our own #henchhipster, Samantha Hissong, hit a very sold-out Troubadour last night for buzzing German duo Milky Chance's fourth U.S. & first L.A. show ever. The Republic pair's vibrant set showcased their unique sonic blend, which can fairly be described as folky, grooving electro-pop. Highlights included the smash single, "Stolen Dance," which is Top 15 Shazam, Top 5 iTunes Alt, has been #1 at Alt radio for 6 weeks now and was #1 Triple A for 9 consecutive weeks, infectious follow-up "Flashed Junk Mind," and "Sadnecessary," the title track from their debut full-length, which dropped last week. Third single, "Down by the River," meanwhile, is currently on BBC Radio 1's A List. Milky Chance will embark on a two-month, springtime tour on 3/20/15, it was announced today.
