Michael Frey

CHAIN GANG: Michael Frey has been tapped by UMG to serve in the newly created post of President, Supply Chain & Media Services, effective 11/10. Frey will oversee Uni's global and physical supply chains, production logistics and asset management; he'll report to EVP and CFO Boyd Muir. He's currently President of Sony DADC New Media Solutions, a role he's held since 2010. "Michael brings his experience in music, technology and media along with a compelling style of leadership to this vital position, which combines strategic and commercial responsibilities," declared Muir. Noted Frey, "Music is in the midst of an exciting transition, one that will bring opportunities for artists and fans alike. With this transition comes the need to develop systems and strategies that will ensure we're delivering the best services to all of our stakeholders."
