SPOTLIGHT
Kiev
(www.kievband.com; @kievtheband): Hailing from Orange County, this five-piece alt-rock unit is starting to create some serious buzz across the industry with their incredible live 3D performances. Last week, the band headlined the opening night of the 3D Film & Music Festival at The Avalon in Hollywood and walked away with the Pioneer Award for their unprecedented live show. They were just voted Best Indie Band at the O.C. Music Awards, and even KROQ is starting to show the band some love—it’s no wonder the weasels are coming out of the woodwork to check them out. Take a look at this live video for “Loot Recovered” here, and you’ll get an idea of what they’ve cooked up. We don’t expect these guys to be unsigned much longer, so keep it locked into Wheels for updates as we continue to bring you the latest on this killer band. Kiev is repped by Doug McVehil at The Red Letter Group ([email protected]).

ON DECK
The Foot.
(www.facebook.com/findthefoot), indie-rockers from Denver, formed in 2008 and released their first LP, Primary Colors, in April of 2010. They were named one of the “Top 15 Acts You Wish You Saw at CMJ 2010” by Urb magazine, were featured in Westword's Best of Denver 2010 Issue and shared stages with Rose Hill Drive, J. Roddy Walston & the Business and The Constellations. The Foot. will be playing this year’s CMJ Music Marathon on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Sullivan Hall. The band released an EP, The Hangman, in June. And you won’t wanna miss their cover of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” here.
