Sara Bareilles Debuts #1, Stone Sour, Anberlin, Interpol Bow Top 10

Singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles’ sophomore Epic Records album Kaleidoscope Heart, debuts at #1 this week on the HITS Top 50 sales chart, with a total of 92k.

Her previous album, 2007’s Little Voice, which boasted the Top 5 single, “Love Song,” peaked at #7.

Shady/Aftermath/Interscope two-time VMA winner Eminem’s Recovery is back at #2, adding another 81k, raising its total to 2.5m, putting it within 100k of year-leader Lady Antebellum.

Capitol/EMI sports the next two entries, with Now 35 (#3) and Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream, as last week’s chart-topper, Reprise’s Disturbed, rounds out the Top 5.

Roadrunner veteran metal group Stone Sour’s Audio Secrecy is the other Top 10 newcomer at #6, along with Universal Republic’s Anberlin (#8) and Matador indie stalwarts Interpol (#9).

Island/IDJ’s unstoppable Justin Bieber (#7) and Walt Disney’s Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (#10) complete the leader board.

Other Top 50 debuts go to Verve/UME rock legend Jerry Lee LewisMean Old Man (#28), Interscope’s Robyn sequel to Body Talk (#38), Rhymesayer/ILG’s Atmosphere (#39) and VMA stars Florence + the Machine’s Universal Republic album Lungs (#45).

Universal Republic star Enrique IglesiasEuphoria re-enters this week at #44.
