NOMS DE PLUMAGE: GRAMMYS TO KICK OFF IN PRIME TIME AGAIN

The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! Makes Its Third Annual Appearance Dec. 1

The key 2011 Grammy noms will once again be broken out in prime time, double exclamation points and all, the Recording Academy announced this morning. CBS will air The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown to Music's Biggest Night on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 10—delayed, as usual, on the West Coast.

As in the two previous years, the one-hour special will intersperse the nominations in such categories as Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist with performances by past Grammy winners and nominees.

The Academy will reveal the names of the participants in a series of press releases leading up to the show, which marks the official start of festivities for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, set for Sunday, Feb. 13 from Staples Center.

Like the Grammys themselves, the show is being produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures and John Cossette Productions, with John Cossette and Ken Ehrlich once again the executive producers.
