SPOTLIGHT
Psychocharger (www.myspace.com/psychocharger): Having built a rep as N.Y.C.’s bloodiest band and the bastard sons of the King hisself, Psychocharger delivers an ultra-horrific death-march through the rotting rock & roll graveyard with a sound that’s been described as “horror rawkabilly.” The band draws its influences from rockabilly, industrial, punk, surf and gothic, melding all of the above for a sound that’s definitely not for the faint of heart. They’re working on their third full-length album, which they promise (or threaten) will be louder and heavier than the previous, two. These guys are ultra-road warriors, having toured both nationally and internationally, including the Bring Out Your Dead festival in London and the Rue Morgue magazine Festival of Fear in Toronto, also making a trip to the West Coast to play the main stage at the Ink-N-Iron fest. Give these guys a listen—we strongly suggest using earplugs.
