GLEE-MANIA!

Glee may have just wrapped its successful first season on Fox, but the Columbia soundtracks have encouraged record buyers to keep on believin’...and buying.

The fifth, and latest iteration, Journey to Regionals, a six-song package selling for around $6, debuts at #1, with 158k, the third edition of the successful series to do so. All five Glee soundtracks are on this week’s HITS chart, representing almost 17% of Top 50 sales. The last chart-topping debut, Glee: The Music, Vol. 3 Showstoppers, is at #7, followed by Vol. 1 (#35, +26%), The Power of Madonna (#40, +23%) and Vol. 2 (#46, +25%).

Chop Shop/Atlantic’s Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third in that series, bows with 115k at #2, followed by RCA/RMG’s Christina Aguilera, entering at #3, with 112k, and last week’s chart-topper, Brushfire/Universal Republic’s Jack Johnson, at #4.

Other Top 10 newcomers include Atlantic’s Plies (#5), giving the label two in the Top 5, Capitol Nashville/EMI country vet Dierks Bentley’s bluegrass album, Up on the Ridge (#8), and Valory’s Jewel (#10).

Island/IDJ’s Justin Bieber remains at #6, with Capitol Nashville/EMI’s Lady Antebellum (#9), still the year’s best seller to date, rounding out the leader board.

Curb’s Clay Walker (#16) tops the list of the other new Top 50 entries, which also includes Hollywood’s Grace Potter and the Nocturnals (#21), Virgin/EMI’s Saving Abel (#22), Fueled by Ramen’s Travie McCoy (#25), Rise’s Attack Attack (#26), 3CG’s Hanson (#27), Sire’s Against Me! (#39), Curb’s Lee Brice (#44), Metal Blade’s White Chapel (#47), Side One Dummy’s Vans Warped Tour 2010 (#49) and Universal Republic’s Lil Jon (#50).

The week’s big gainers, aside from the Glee soundtracks, include Columbia’s Train (#38-34, +31%), Atlantic’s Zac Brown Band (#14, +21%), Arista Nashville’s Brooks & Dunn (#48, +19%) and Interscope’s Black Eyed Peas (#19-15, +17%).

Available now are Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Republic’s Drake, Arista/RMG’s Sarah McLachlan, EMI’s Now 34 and Reprise’s Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, his first album with the band since 2002. Next Monday, look for Shady/Aftermath/Interscope’s Eminem and Hollywood’s Miley Cyrus to hit the street running a day early.
