HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Buble, Adele, Bieber, Drake Big Xmas Sales Winners
For Michael Buble, it was a very merry Christmas.

The Reprise/Warner Bros. crooner’s album of holiday classics was the gift that kept on giving through the season with a total of 1.9 million for the last month of the year starting on Black Friday (11/27), which was good enough to place it at #2 for all of 2011, and 2.2m overall..

XL/Columbia British songbird Adele’s 21 was no slouch, either, racking up another 1.3 million for a year-best total of more than 5.8 million.

Island/IDJ’s Justin Bieber album, Under the Mistletoe, chalked up 851k, good for third place in the seasonal derby.

YM/CM/Universal Republic’s Drake ended up #4, with 617k, for a total of 1.2 million, while Roadrunner’s Nickelback rounded out the Top 5, scoring 585k in seasonal sales.

The rest of the Top 10 included Def Jam/IDJ’s Rihanna (#6, 514k), Nonesuch/WB’s Black Keys (#7, 432k), Geffen’s Mary J. Blige (#8, 400k), Capitol Nashville’s Lady Antebellum (#9, 386k) and Decca’s Andrea Bocelli (#10, 370k).

That gave Cavallo and Moscowitz’s Warner Bros. two of the Top 10 holiday sellers, tying them with Steve BartelsIsland. In all, Lucian Grainge’s UMG scored with five of the Top 10.

Rounding out the Top 20: 19/Mercury Nashville/ Interscope’s Scott McCreery (#11, 349k), Capitol/EMI’s Now 40 (#12, 344k) and Coldplay (#13, 333k), RCA’s Daughtry (#14, 314k), Def Jam/IDJ's Young Jeezy (#155, 296k), Interscope’s LMFAO (#16, 276k), Universal Republic’s Amy Winehouse (#17, 270k), Big Machine’s Taylor Swift Speak Now World Tour Live (#18, 251k), Columbia’s Glee: The Music: The Christmas Album (#19, 240k) and Broken Bow’s Jason Aldean (#20, 230k).
