Grammy Foundation Names Portnow President/CEO, Names Borders’ Jones, Coca-Cola’s Perez, Rhino’s Pascucci to Board

The Grammy Foundation and MusiCares have elected new Officers and Directors to their Boards, while raising The Recording Academy's Neil Portnow to President/CEO of both.

Borders Group’s George Jones has been elected to serve as the Grammy Foundation Chair, while Coca-Cola SVP Integrated Marketing Beatriz R. Perez has been elected Vice Chair and Rusty Rueff Secretary Treasurer.

Rhino President Scott Pascucci has been elected Secretary/Treasurer for MusiCares.

Portnow’s title expansion reflects his “dedication and commitment to both organizations.”

The Board has also voted to create the position of Chair Emeritus to recognize past Chairs, with EA’s Steve Schnur named to the post for the Grammy Foundation and PinnacleCare CEO Les Bider holding the position for MusiCares.

The newly elected Grammy Foundation Directors are Dell VP Consumer Software Tim Bucher, Converse Chief Marketing Officer Geoff Cottrill and Elevation Partners Co-Founder/General Partner Roger McNamee.

Continuing as MusiCares' Board Chair is John Branca, while certified drug and alcohol counselor Mary Pattiz remains Vice Chair. Newly elected MusiCares Directors are Sony/ATV Chairman/CEO Martin Bandier, Nokia EVP Tero Ojanpera, EMI Music Publishing W.C. Creative President Big Jon Platt, Z100/Clear Channel SVP Programming and Marketing Tom Poleman and JG Wentworth and Red Stripe Plane Music founder Gary Veloric.
