Hawaii—but never fear, he voted before he jetted westward. In any case, we’re thrilled that hope has been restored and change is on the horizon, like a glorious sunrise over the South Pacific.

The Dance Party: High-energy rock group out of Washington, DC, that combines sounds of dance, new wave and power pop. Captivating fans with their high-intensity live performance, The Dance Party were chosen to take part of CMJ 2008 and continue to tour throughout DC and the Mid-Atlantic. Bo Pepper: Catchy hooks and fun-infused songs just begin to describe this indie-electro outfit from the U.K. Bo Pepper might be described as Yeah Yeah Yeahs meet The Gossip, with a splash of the Ting Tings; Perez Hilton says, “they can rock hard!” With a stalwart fan base, they’ve taken their live show to several small clubs in and around their home region. Canterbury: An other U.K.-based group, Canterbury is heating up our headphones with a fresh indie pop-rock sound. Currently working on a studio album and playing dates in Britain, they’ve got a booking agent, manager and dedicated fan base on their side. It’s only a matter of time before songs like “Set You Right” and “Eleven Twelve” take Canterbury from their homestead to new markets and fans abroad.
