JACKSON DEATH A HOMICIDE

L.A. Medical Examiner Rules It a Result of Lethal Levels of Propofol, Murray Targeted
Michael Jackson’s death on June 25 at the age of 50 has been ruled a homicide by the L.A. County coroner, according to an Associated Press report quoting a law enforcement official.

The pop star died from lethal levels of the anesthetic Propofol, according to findings by the L.A. Chief Medical Examiner unsealed in court documents in Houston today.

Jackson suffered cardiac arrest and died on June 25 at age 50. Since then, police have focused on the use of prescription drugs and the role of doctors who treated him, including his personal physician, Conrad Murray.

The document was released by the Harris County District Clerk in Houston, where Murray has offices, which U.S. Agents raided on July 22, looking for evidence of manslaughter.

The finding makes it more likely criminal charges will be filed against Murray, who was with Jackson when he died and is currently the target of a manslaughter probe headed by L.A.P.D.


The law enforcement official told AP the coroner determined a fatal combination of drugs was given to Jackson hours before he died in his rented Bel Air mansion.
