GLEE GOES ON TOUR

After Two Best-Selling Album Collections, Cast Will Hit the Road for Seven Shows Starting in Phoenix May 18, L.A., Chicago, N.Y.
After two hit albums and a total of 4.5 million downloads, the cast of Fox’s hit show Glee will hit the road on a seven-date U.S. tour.

Glee Live! In Concert will kick off in Phoenix on May 18 at the Dodge Theater, just over a month after the show’s return to TV. Other dates include two shows apiece in L.A. (Gibson Amphitheater, 5/20-21), Chicago (Rosemont Theater, 5/25-26) and N.Y. (Radio City Music Hall, 5/28-29).

Show stars Leah Michele and Cory Monteith will be on hand to perform such songs as “Don’t Step Believin’,” “Somebody to Love” and “Jump," along with cast members Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones), Chris Colter (Kurt Hummel), Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang), Mark Salling (Noah “Puck” Puckerman), Dianna Agron (Quinn Fabray), Nava Rivera (Santana Lopez), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike Chang) and Dijon Talton (Matt Rutherford).

The Columbia Records soundtrack albums have also seen strong sales, with Glee: The Music, Volume 1 selling 730k copies since its Nov. 3 release, while Glee: the Music, Vol. 2 has sold 529k since coming out Dec. 8.

Tickets go on sale to the public Mar. 18 for the Phoenix date and Mar. 13 for other cities; pre-sale tickets are available on Friday (Mar. 5) for American Express cardholders.

As for the TV show, Glee returns to Fox on Apr. 13, while production on season two will begin following the tour.
