FRAM HEADS TO THE BIG APPLE

Longtime Atlanta PoMo Programmer to Emmis’ 101.9 RXP as PD
From Atlanta to the Big Apple.

Reversing General Sherman’s march to the sea, longtime PoMo programmer Leslie Fram has been named Program Director for Emmis’ new rock entry, 101.9 RXP.

New York Market Manager Dan Halyburton, denying any involvment with anything going on in Iraq, welcomed her aboard.

"We're excited to bring a true rock innovator and radio brand builder into the programming seat of 101.9 RXP,” he said. “RXP is breaking new ground in the radio industry and she is the perfect person to lead this unique brand to success."

Added Fram: "RXP truly reflects New York's vast musical heritage, while at the same time
embracing new music and the evolving New York rock scene. I can't think of a better place to take my experience and passion than this great rock brand and amazing city."

Fram began her career in progressive rock radio at WABB in Mobile, AL as PD and
afternoon drive talent. She has spent the last 17 years at Susquehanna’s Alternative radio standard-bearer 99X Atlanta as PD and co-host of "The Morning X."

Fram is the first female recipient of the T.J. Martell Award as well as several Program Director of the Year honors, a recent A.I.R. LIfetime Achievement Award and holds a vice president seat for the Atlanta Grammy Chapter.

Added MD and interim PD Bryan Schock: "Our on-air team is stoked to have a visionary and experienced leader in Leslie. Her becoming our PD speaks volumes about our progressive mission at RXP and the incredible opportunity the station has in front of us…our great team just got greater!"

Former MTV and Columbia Records A&R exec Matt Pinfield was also recently added to the on-air team.

101.9 RXP’s format offers a variety of rock acts, from artists like Raconteurs, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Coldplay, U2, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, The Police, Beck, Radiohead, Jimi Hendrix, Oasis, The Kooks, My Morning Jacket and REM
