CHART PREVIEW:
50 CENT STILL TOPS, AS
NOW 18 COMES FROM BEHIND

It Could Be Close, But That’s As Close As We Can Come to Telling You How Close It’ll Be
With the number crunching in full effect this morning, it still looks like 50 Cent will comfortably claim #1 again on this week’s Album Chart on sales of around 360k. This chart, marking the third week of sales for The Massacre (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) will put the album past 2.3 million total.

And it looks at this point as if 360k should be enough to fend off Now 18 (Epic), which has come on strong but looks to be trailing, with current projections ahead of the final tally pointing toward a #2 debut on sales of about 340k.

Meanwhile, other albums hitting the chart this week include Baby Bash, whose Super Saucy (Universal) looks to have racked up first-week sales of 50k-55k, which could be good for a Top 10 debut; Brooke Valentine, whose Chain Letter (Virgin) is on track to debut with 35k sold; and Miranda Lambert, whose Kerosene (Epic Nashville) similarly appears headed for a 35k debut.
