CHART PREVIEW:
50’S RUN CONTINUES,
FRANKIE TRUMPS QUEENS

Riddled Rapper’s Grip on #1 Still Strong, As Two Debuts Enter Top 5
As of mid-day Monday, the numbers that have been crunched so far indicate an easy win for 50 Cent on this week’s Album Chart once all the counting’s been done.

Sales for The Massacre (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope), already over 2.3 million in three weeks, should top 300k for the week just ended, keeping 50 comfortably in the top slot.

The Now 18 compilation (Epic) should hang in at #2 with a second-week figure of about 250k.

Meanwhile, the highest chart debut for the week looks like it will be Frankie J., whose The One (Columbia) appears headed for #3 on upwards of 120k in first-week sales. Also making its debut will be Queens of the Stone Age’s Lullabies to Paralyze (Interscope), which will battle it out with Jack Johnson’s In Between Dreams (Brushfire/Universal) for #4, with both albums headed for weekly totals of just under 100k.

Other notable debuts for the week include Tweet, whose It’s Me Again (Elektra) is on track for a Top 10 debut based on first-week sales shy of 70k. Lifehouse’s Lifehouse (Geffen) and Trace AdkinsSongs About Me (Capitol) will also likely debut in the Top 10 based on projected weekly sales of around 60k apiece.
