Interscope Geffen A&M PR Co-Head Segues to RCA Music Group as Sr. VP Publicity
Things are getting hipper at the home of Nipper.

Mika El-Baz has been named Senior Vice President Publicity for the RCA Music Group by RCA Music Group President/COO Charles Goldstuck "In the Middle With You" and J Records Exec. VP Worldwide Marketing & Sales Tom "Tom Club" Corson, to whom she'll report.

El-Baz, who comes to the label from Interscope Geffen A&M, where she was co-head of the press department, will be responsible for overseeing press for the RCA Music Group as well as the J Records publicity department, will handle corporate press for the label, and serve as Clay Aiken's personal hairstylist. She steps in for Lois Najarian, who split to join Dan Klores last month.

Commented El-Baz: "I am delighted to have joined J Records at a time when the label is enjoying such terrific success with both their established and new artists. I look forward to being part of the RCA Music Group team and contributing to its continued success. And now I can get all the Lou Bega and Taco back catalog I want."

Added Goldstuck: "Mika brings a wealth of top-flight experience to the RCA Music Group at a time of unprecedented growth for the group. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go back to licking the envelopes for the invitations to Clive's Grammy party."

Said Corson: "I'm delighted to welcome Mika to J Records. Her experience, artist relations skills, creativity and enthusiasm are a great addition to our team. And she can get Dennis Dennehy on the phone."
