IDJ SHOUTS IMBER

Mitchell Imber "land and Magoo" is named Senior Vice President of Sales for the Island Def Jam Music Group by Def Jam/Def Soul President/IDJ EVP Kevin "8" Liles "High" and Island Records President/IDJ EVP Julie "Eno’s Another" Greenwald.

The N.Y.-based Imber’s main focus will be to manage sales, implement IDJ’s marketing strategies with retail accounts and keep kosher at weekly department meetings.

Imber was most recently VP Sales at IDJ for three years. Prior to that, he was VP Sales at Universal Special Markets/Polymedia, where he served as songwriter Junior Miles’ lyricist.

Said Imber: "It’s a privilege to work for a label with great artists and talented executives who consistently challenge the industry standards. And no, I have no idea who Kenneth McGriff is. Does he play first base for the Dodgers?"
