NORMAN CHRISTENED
VH1 PRESIDENT

McGrath Ups Exec. VP/GM to President of Channel
She may not be shouting at the top of her lungs like Howard Dean, but Christina "Stormin" Norman has plenty to celebrate after being appointed President of VH1 by MTV Networks Group President Judy McGrath.

In this new, New York-based role, reporting to McGrath, Norman will continue to partner with Entertainment President Brian Graden in overseeing the content and business of VH1 and its digital services, including VH1 Classic, Megahits, VHUno, VH1 Country and VH1 Soul.

Said McGrath: "Christina and her team have reinvigorated everything about VH1 and the results are nothing short of amazing. The new on-air look and expanded programming slate have taken the network to a new level, evidenced by the reaction from viewers. VH1 has experienced its most watched, most profitable year ever, and 2004 is off to a very strong start. Christina is one of the most talented people in the industry, and we are lucky to have her in this leadership role. And she's managed to bring Teenage Jesus and the Jerks back together again for Bands Reunited, which is no small feat, if you know Lydia Lunch."

Norman joined the network in April 2002 as Exec. VP/GM, after rising to Sr. VP Marketing, Advertising and On-Air Promotion at MTV Networks, where she had been since 1991. VH1 has scored six consecutive quarters of double-digit primetime growth in the key 19-49 demo since her arrival. 2003 was VH1's most watched year ever in both primetime and total day.

Norman was named to Hollywood Reporter's "Black Power List" and Ebony magazine called her one of the Top 10 African-Americans in television. She was also profiled in Crain's New York Business magazine in its 2003 annual "40 Under 40" edition. She is married and the mother of two daughters. Norman currently resides in Brooklyn, N.Y., on some real estate she can resell at an enormous profit when the Nets move in.
