All in all, this year’s Grammy-inspired sales surge is among the biggest, boosted by the full-week sales window following the telecast and the 31% larger audience watching on Sunday (as opposed to the usual Wednesday).

Meanwhile, debut rapper Freeway’s Philadelphia Freeway (Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam) appears headed for a more-than-solid 120k-plus first week.

R. Kelly, who topped last week’s chart on sales of 543k, will likely come in this week with sales close to 250k. Rap upstart 50 Cent, last week’s #2 on 504k, will likely continue to register unusually light fall-off and keep his #2 position this week on likely sales of more than 350k.

So, the Top Five of this week’s chart could look like this: Norah Jones, 50 Cent, R. Kelly, Dixie Chicks and Warner Strategic Marketing’s Grammy Nominees 2003 compilation, which should double last week’s tally to somewhere in the 120k-130k range.

At radio, the Top 40 swamis are saying the most adds will go to Tyrese (J Records), Theory of a Deadman (Roadrunner/IDJ) and Counting Crows (Geffen), with early adds coming for the new Justin Timberlake (Jive) and Brian McKnight (Motown/Universal). Cleanup on TLC (Arista) will also be a factor.

At Crossover, Most-Added honors will likely go to Dru Hill’s "I Love You" (Def Soul/IDJ), followed by Frankie J’s "Don’t Wanna Try" (Columbia), Heather Headley’s "I Wishi I Wasn’t" (RCA) and 702’s "I Still Love You" (Motown/Universal)

And at PoMo/Rock, after last week’s crazy Linkin Park closeout, look for Seether’s "Driven Under" (Wind-up) to edge out Taproot’s "Mine" (Velvet Hammer/Atlantic) for Most Added.
