Marinus Henny "Youngman" has been appointed Vice Chairman of Universal Music Group by company Chairman/CEO Doug Morris.
Henny will join Zach Horowitz, President/COO, and Jorgen Larsen, Chairman/CEO of Universal Music International, in UMG's Office of the Chairman, each of whom report to Morris.
"Nick has been instrumental in the global financial strategy and activities that have helped Universal emerge as the leading music company in the world," said Morris. "His insights, experience, knowledge and leadership have been invaluable. We look forward to working with him in his important new position as UMG and the music business evolve in the years to come."
Henny joined UMG in April 2000 as Executive VP/CFO. He will retain CFO position.
Previously, he served as Executive VP/CFO of Sony Corporation of America, the U. S. parent company of Sony Electronics, Sony Music and Sony Pictures.
Prior to joining Sony, he was a partner at the independent accounting firm of Price Waterhouse.
