MACS SOON TO JUST PRESSPLAY

Pressplay, MusicNet, Listen.com hope to become Mac friendly in 2002
Online music co Pressplay, owned by Sony and Vivendi Universal, has made a resolution to make its service available to Apple’s Macintosh computers. AOL/RealNetwork’s MusicNet, Full Audio and Listen.com also vowed to make their subscription services Mac-friendly.

Most of the current music subscription services aren’t available on Macs due to fact that their operating systems aren’t compatible. In fact, Pressplay operates on Microsoft’s Windows, and additionally uses Microsoft’s digital rights management system and is distributed through Microsoft’s MSN, Yahoo an Roxio websites.

"We are hoping that sometime this year that Pressplay will be available [on Macs], although we can’t guarantee," said Pressplay CEO Andy Schuon.
