ONE-DAY SALES: J.LO'S LARGE

Remix Album Could Unsaddle Alan Jackson's Three-Week Ride at #1
We'll keep this short and sweet: As rumored in this cyberspace previously, the buzz on Jennifer Lopez's new remix album, J to tha L-O! (Epic) has been building. Now, according to early reports from national accounts, it looks like the dance diva's album will sell as much as 140k this week.

That means, depending on how well patriotic cowpoke Alan Jackson's Drive (Arista Nashville) holds up, J.Lo could have a shot at #1. Jackson's album sold just shy of 189k this week, declining about 17% from the previous week's figure. Will the booty replace the boots at the top of the chart? We'll just have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, another Epic album, Sade's Lovers Live, is seeing solid early sales. This release could top 75k by the end of the week, which would give the recently returned Queen of the Quiet Storm a Top 10 debut with a live disc.

Meanwwhile, Barry Manilow's Ultimate Manilow greatest-hits package (Arista) is enjoying one of he most successful direct TV campaigns in memory. Sources tell us that it may very well debut #1 at Kmart and could sell just shy of 100k for the week, making it a solid contender for the Top 10, with an outside shot at breaking into the Top Five.

We'd write more, but we're all out of pithy catchphrases. Thank you.
