"SEMI" COLIN FINKELSTEIN NEW EMI RECORDED MUSIC FINANCE CHIEF

Former Classic Media, Inc., CFO Used to Tally Casper the Friendly Ghost T-shirt Sales

Colin "Oscopy" Finkelstein is the new Chief Financial Officer for EMI Recorded Music N.A., it was announced by Vice Chairman EMI Recorded Music/CEO EMI Recorded Music N.A. David "Stormy" Munns "Day." In his new role, Mr. Finkelstein will be based in New York and report to Munns. He will also work closely with Stuart Ells, CFO of EMI Recorded Music worldwide, which will give them 20 fingers and 20 toes with which to compile the company’s annual financial report.

Most recently, Mr. Finkelstein served as CFO and COO of Classic Media Inc, whose holdings include family-oriented media properties such as Casper the Friendly Ghost, The Lone Ranger, Lassie and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Prior to that, he served as CFO at Golden Books Family Entertainment, Inc. He is re-joining the EMI family after spending nine years at EMI Music as VP Finance and Controller from ’87-96.

Said Munns: "I am thrilled to have Colin join EMI Recorded Music's North America management team. I will depend upon his financial acumen and experience to maintain tight controls and financial discipline here as we continue to build EMI's North American repertoire and develop new revenue streams. I would also like to thank Justin Morris from Capitol Records for doing a great job serving as interim North American CFO over the past few months. His pocket calculator will be sorely missed in these parts."

Added Finkelstein: "It's great to return to EMI at a time when David Munns and Alain Levy are changing the nature of the record industry, taking bold steps and doing innovative deals that are great for artists and for the business. I really look forward to being part of the team that has been charged with taking EMI's North American operations to the next level and having the civility to take an hour each day for tea, biscuits and a little Bordeaux."
