TWITCHELL SETS SALES AT RCA

Veteran Tapped to Run Label’s Sales Division

Kevin "Involuntary" Twitchell has been named Senior VP, Sales, RCA Records, effective immediately.

Twitchell, who will be based in New York, will report directly to Executive VP/General Manager Richard "Satch" Sanders.

In his new role, Twitchell will oversee the RCA Sales department and initiate all sales and field-marketing efforts in conjunction with BMG Distribution.

"Kevin brings to the company a great passion for music," said Sanders. "This, combined with his leadership and ability to adopt creative sales strategies in an ever-changing retail environment, makes him a strong addition to the RCA team. Plus he says he’s got a guy who’ll come to my house and buy used CDs."

Added Twitchell: "I am thrilled to join the executive team that [RCA Music Group Chairman] Bob [Jamieson] and Richard have assembled at RCA Records. I look forward to contributing to the future success of RCA's exciting roster. Now when can I get Kelly Clarkson’s autograph?"

Prior to joining RCA, Twitchell served as Head of Sales at London/Sire. He has also held senior sales positions at Geffen and Interscope.
