Former Motown prexy Andre Harrell and entrepreneur Brett Wright have teamed to create Nu America Agency

The Harlem-based NAA is what the duo call "the first advertising, marketing and management agency to capture the converging cultures of urban and suburban youth."

In addition to its advertising and marketing services, NAA offers an in-house creative production team, production studio, strategic consulting and in-depth market research services, as well as a creative talent management arm.

The boutique agency's combination of services provides its client base of major corporations, non-profit organizations, publishing companies, apparel manufacturers and entertainment firms with comprehensive insight into the urban/pop demographic.

The cornerstone of NAA's company philosophy views music as the driving force in the evolution of popular culture, in particular, popular youth culture.

"Music has been the cultural driver since rock-n-roll in the 1950s. But never before has a musical genre and its lifestyle been embraced with such completeness than the hip hop movement," company CEO Wright said.
