BRITNEY SPEARED BY ONLINE WATCHDOGS
Britney Spears' official Website has been altered to comply with a federal law protecting children's online privacy. Children under 13 who visit the site will now need parental permission before divulging personal information or using interactive features, said Elizabeth Lascoutx, director of the Better Business Bureau. Signatures Network, which maintains the site, also agreed to install a tracking device on the site to prevent visitors from changing ages to bypass screening mechanisms. Guess our own Roy Trakin is going to have to change his online profile, which claims he is 12-year-old Irish Catholic boy actively seeking a long-term relationship with a Britney look-a-like.

THINGS TO DO IN DENVER WHEN YOU LOOK DEAD
Marilyn Manson
has been asked by a church group to cancel a Denver stop on his Summer tour. The theatrical rocker was among the artists scapegoated in the wake of the Columbine shootings, and something called the Citizens for Peace and Respect is keeping up the flak, deriding him as a promoter of violence, drug use and other ills, according to an AP report. Though Manson canceled a Red Rocks concert right after the Columbine bloodbath and publicly expressed compassion for the victims of the shootings and their families, he apparently continues to serve as a convenient target for music-blaming Bible-thumpers. In a related story, the Hell's Angels have been asked by the Daughters of the American Revolution to ride tricycles instead of those noisy Harleys.

NO CONTEST ABOUT WHAT IS IN K-CI’S DRAWERS
Singer K-Ci, the trouser-dropping half of K-Ci & JoJo, pleaded no contest last week to lewd conduct charges, which stem from the singer allegedly pulling down his pants and underwear during KIIS' Christmas concert at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium. K-Ci will be sentenced June 5 and is expected to receive community service and a small fine, which is apparently appropriate in this case.

MADONNA SMELLS PROBLEMS IN COLOGNE
Madonna
canceled two concerts in Cologne, Germany, where her first tour in eight years was going to kick off. It will instead open June 9 in Barcelona. “Due to technical problems the show will not be able to start before Barcelona," Madonna's manager Caresse Henry said in a statement. When asked about Cologne, Madonna said she likes to wear Liz Taylor’s brand.

FELDER TRIES TO CLIP EAGLES’ WINGS
As expected, Don Felder filed a $50 million lawsuit last week against Don Henley, Glenn Frey and the rest of the Eagles, citing wrongful termination, breach of implied-in-fact contract, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of written contract. The lawsuit, which had been expected, is the second suit the guitarist filed against the band following his dismissal from the group in February. The first suit, filed Feb. 8, sought to have the Eagles business entity dissolved. Felder said that he would withdraw his complaint, “When Hell freezes over.”
