ARISTA'S "TOTALLY HITS" JUST THAT

In a week devoid of anything in the way of hot, new releases, Arista's fourth installation of the Totally Hits series will easily storm into next week's Top 10, and maybe even Top 5. Thanks to a massive MTV ad campaign and hits like Alicia Keys' "Fallin'," Blu Cantrell's "Hit 'Em Up Style," Missy Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On" and Usher's "U Remind Me," the album looks headed for first-week sales of more than 120k, based on first-day retail reports from around the country. Other artists on the album include 112, O-Town, Sugar Ray, LFO, P. Diddy, Toya, Willa Ford, Dream, Uncle Kracker, OutKast, Ludacris, Craig David, Eve 6 and Dido.

Jay-Z's Blueprint will continue to rule the marketplace next week, with its only challenge in the foreseeable future coming from fellow IDJ rapper Ja Rule's Oct. 2 release, Pain Is Love.

Epic Records rock comedy duo Tenacious D's self-titled bow is looking at a possible Top 30 debut with 50k in first-week sales, even though outlets such as Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Fred Meyer and Costco are not stocking the record because of "content issues." Wonder which song it was, "Hard Fucking" or "Fuck Her Gently."
