From Small Music Items A Major Story Does Not Grow, But Here They Are Anyway

EMINEM’S WIFE FACES DRUG CHARGES
Kimberly Mathers
, Eminem’s estranged wife, turned herself in to police Monday (7/16) and was charged with possession of cocaine, according to Allstarmag.com. After a watercraft accident, Mathers was picked up for an outstanding bench warrant. According to the sheriff, a bag of cocaine was found under the seat of the patrol car occupied by Mathers after her arrest. "How did that get there?" Mathers was overheard asking. "I thought it was baking soda."

INSANE CLOWN POSSE SHOW STOPPED
Police pulled the plug on an Insane Clown Posse concert in Idaho after more than 100 fans, known as Juggalos, rushed the stage, destroying much of the band's equipment. The disturbance Sunday (7/15) came on the final day of a three-day fan festival, which attracted approximately 6,600 attendees. "It’s ICP, and we’re Juggalos… What do you expect?" said one shirtless participant sporting macabre face paint and purposely rubbing his sweaty body against others. The fans were later seen piling out of a Volkswagen bug and squirting passers-by with seltzer bottles.

BRANSON BANKING BUYOUT
Virgin Group
Chairman Sir Richard Branson is in talks to sell his stake in the Virgin One banking business in a deal that could be worth up to $350.4 million, according to a report in the Sunday Telegraph. The paper said 50%-shareholder Royal Bank of Scotland initiated talks to buy Branson's 25% stake in the joint venture and also wants the remaining 25% owned by Australian group AMP. Branson was busy bungee-jumping and airlifting condoms to Third World countries and unavailable for comment.

SNOOP SMOKES TYRESE OUT
Tyrese
says he enjoyed hanging out with Snoop Dogg on the set of "Baby Boy," but the cloudy nature of Snoop's quarters would sometimes be too much, reports the New York Post. "I would be up in [Snoop's] trailer, hanging out and chilling until I had to run up out of there… all that smoking going on," he said. "But gargling bongwater with him was a real thrill."

NEW SIGEL ASSAULT CHARGES FILED
Beanie Sigel
is in trouble with the law again, as he faces new assault charges. The rapper aka Dwight Grant was arrested Friday (7/13) and charged with aggravated and simple assault—the second time this year after a truckdriver was accosted and jumped by the rapper’s crew, suffering a fractured rib, an eye injury and a concussion. In February, Sigel was accused of pouring a drink on a woman and threatening her with a gun. "It’s no big deal… but album sales have gone up after each incident," Sigel told friends. "Hey, credibility’s at stake here."
