Graver replaces Jeff Gaspin "The Bottle," who took a programming executive post at NBC ten weeks ago. Former Sonicnet.com GM Jason Hirschhorn "Of Plenty" will take over for Graver as Sr. VP/GM of The VH1 Group, with responsibilities for overseeing the general growth and direction of VH1.com and Sonicnet.com, according to MTVi.Group President/CEO Nicholas "I Can't Believe It's Not" Butterworth, to whom he'll report.
Commented Sykes: "Fred has played a part in creating some of the most dynamic brands in television. This experience, combined with his recent success in the online world, will help us grow the VH1 brand on air and across all media platforms. And one day, God willing, he'll help put a Democrat back in the White House."
Graver was executive producer of "My VH1 Music Awards," and began his career as an Emmy award-winning writer for "Late Night With David Letterman" and "In Living Color." He's also contributed to National Lampoon, Rolling Stone, Spy, Premiere and New York.
Hirschhorn founded Mischief New Media, a leading web site design and content development site.
Commented Butterworth: "Jason's creativity and experience are integral as MTVi continues to build on the success of its converging programming. Better yet is the fact he genuflects whenever I walk into the room."
