VH1 TAKES THE FALL

So, while awaiting successful plumbing specifications for the new improved Lazy Boy, VH1 has announced its fall schedule, including new series, original movies and specials that celebrate saying it loud and dressing loud.

In October, the music network will air "Say It Loud!: A Celebration of Black Music in America," a five-part documentary produced by Quincy Jones that recounts the evolution of urban music. Finally, music fans will find the six degrees of separation between Fats Domino and the Fat Boys.

On tap in November is another five-part series called "VH1 Presents the ’80s." The special, which bows November 5, will look into the decade’s music artists and styles, reliving the days of Popdom, when Reagan-omics made it hard to buy even rubber bangles.

But what we’ve all been waiting for comes in December, when VH1 premieres "Too Legit," the MC Hammer Story." From the channel that captivated audiences with "Behind The Music," "Too Legit" chronicles the rise and fall of the famed rapper. Ahhh, to relive those days of brightly colored harem pants. The movie is part of VH1’s "Movies That Rock" series that airs Wednesday nights. Other featured flicks will include "Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Lady Sings The Blues" and "Grease."
