CHICKS NIGHT OUT

Dixie Chicks Dominate The CMAs While Mack Minister Starts Fight With Brooks, Dunn
The Dixie Chicks swept the 34th Annual Country Music Association Awards Wednesday (10/4) at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House, taking home four awards, including entertainer of the year.

The all-female trio was also awarded album of the year for "Fly," vocal group and video of the year for "Good Bye Earl."

Country's most popular husband and wife team, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, were named male and female vocalists of the year, respectively.

In the vocal duo category, Montgomery Gentry's accolade upset a nine-year winning streak by Brooks & Dunn.

Other top honors were bestowed upon Brad Paisley, who nailed the coveted Horizon Award, which is given to a new artist, and Charley Pride and Faron Young, who were both inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Reba McEntire got an award for promoting country music overseas.
