If You Like Your Babes & Burgers Pink, Read On…

The Box logged 90,000 total responses (10% of them via e-mail) in the just-completed "Final Cut" campaign for Arista artist Pink's "Most Girls" video. Respondents chose between two versions of the video, and Cut #1, the concept version (as opposed to the performance one), picked up 53% of the votes. The promotion landed both versions of the clip in The Box's Top 10 for last week… Speaking of pink promotions, the Wendy's fast-food chain is looking for "fresh, hot hamburger songs," and they're holding a contest to procure same. Two of the finalists will appear on Craig Kilborn's late-night CBS show, and the grand prize winner gets a recording session with Nashville producer Wynn Jackson. Send your MP3 files to sizzlinsounds.com, but hold the pickle… DreamWorks' hot-selling rookie band Papa Roach has landed the opening slot on the big-ticket Limp Bizkit-Eminem shed tour, just as the rap-rockers notch their strongest sales week so far, moving 107k units and holding the #9 slot on the hitsdailydouble.com album sales chart… Speaking of big rap-rock tours, you can now procure ducats for the Beasties/Rage tour without leaving the comfort of your home by logging on to beastieboys.com, RATM.com or MTV.com. Operators are standing by (although they're actually employed by Ticketmaster). You'll wanna have your credit cards handy… Luxuriamusic.com is offering a free download of a new live recording of Brian Wilson performing "'Til I Die" (the original is on The Beach Boys' 1971 album, "Surf's Up"). The track was pulled from the Wilson's just-released double disc, "Live At The Roxy Theatre," which is presently available only on BrianWilson.com; it'll set you back 22 bucks… Transplanted teabags Spacehog (they relocated to New York in order to date supermodels) have landed their third label deal, this time with Artemis Records, as they prepare to track their third album next month. At the helm will be Bryce Goggin, who produced their hit debut album, "Resident Alien" (Elektra), andless-successful follow-up, "The Chinese Album" (Sire/WB). According to Artemis head Danny Goldberg, "Spacehog is one of the best rock bands in the world"—and who are we to argue with such an authority?… Finally, remaining Oasis original member Liam Gallagher says he's not pleased about brother Noel's solo career—alert the media… Come to think of it, we ARE the media.
