NO PEARL IN OYSTERS FOR CAREY
Food Poisoning Postpones Boston Mariah Show
Mariah Carey is expected to remain in the hospital for "several days" to recover from dehydration and other complications from food poisoning, according to a statement issued by the singer’s publicist.
Carey has postponed her scheduled appearance at the FleetCenter in Boston Tuesday as a result and has rescheduled the show for April 14.
According to the statement, Carey was admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Monday night (4/3). She is said to have contracted food poisoning by eating raw oysters in Atlanta on Saturday (4/1) prior to a sold-out show.
Though ill, Carey did perform that night. Following the concert, she flew to Boston and her condition worsened.
