MTVi GETS EXCITED

Broadband Agreement Clears Way For Virtual Carson Daly
Just imagine... 24 hours of "TRL" on your home computer.

If that thought doesn't send you into paroxysms of carson daly',390,400);">carson daly',390,400);">Carson Daly-loving glee, don't blame MTVi and broadband pioneer Excite@home, who are teaming up for what they like to call a "wide-ranging programming development and cross-marketing strategic relationship." They will also co-develop an expanded online music and entertainment area at music.excite.com, set to launch this summer.

The companies will begin developing a number of broadband programs and applications, also slated to bow this summer. The MTVi advertising sales force will be the exclusive seller for music.excite.com on both the Excite and @Home services.

Excite@Home President/CEO George Bell said the opportunity to download DMX videos was a large reason for the deal. "This deal is a brand, content and creative collaboration, and serves as the cornerstone of our music strategy and is a first in melding on-air programs with the broadband experience. Now, how old is Kurt Loder, really?"

Added MTVi Group President/CEO Nicholas Butterworth: "This agreement further strengthens MTVi's position as the leader in online music entertainment. We are now well-positioned to develop creative and compelling content for the broadband era. As the lead programmer on Excite@Home's music channels, this partnership will allow us to offer integrated convergence programming to their customer base. And we can sell a shitload of carson daly',390,400);">carson daly',390,400);">Carson Daly T-shirts."
