MCGRAW, CHESNEY MODERN DAY HORSE THIEVES

Been In Trouble With The Law Since They Day They Was Born
Just because you wear a 10-gallon hat, it doesn't make you a cowboy.

Well-known country music artists Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw were arrested Saturday after Chesney allegedly rode away on a mounted policeman's horse and McGraw allegedly attacked deputies who tried to surround his buddy.

Chesney had asked to sit on a Mounted Reserve deputy's horse outside the Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, N.Y. The daughter of the deputy who owned the horse allegedly gave him permission to do so. The incident took place as the two were performing as part of the George Strait Festival at the arena.

Chesney mounted the horse and rode off into the night, said a statement from the Erie County Sheriff's Office. Deputies in the stadium parking lot ordered him to stop.

When Chesney ignored the orders, the deputies rode after him and pulled him off the horse. The deputies were then allegedly attacked by McGraw and members of his entourage.

Chesney was charged with disorderly conduct and released on $100 bail. McGraw was charged with second-degree assault, obstructing governmental administration, menacing and resisting arrest. He was released on $2,500 bail. McGraw employee Mark Russo was charged with obstructing governmental administration, harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was released on $500 bail.

Officers could not confirm that the good ‘ole boys were confused and thought Buffalo got its name because it was filled with the four-legged beasts. “We was just goin' huntin' after the show and we left our own horses back at the ranch,” Chesney said. “The road makes you homesick. Tim's got Faith, but I sure miss my filly.”
