GETMUSIC EXPANDS EXEC SUITE

WB’s Peter Rauh, Reuters’ Burt Shulman
Named New GetMusic VPs
Perhaps in response to parent company BMG's merger with CDNow (hitsdailydouble.com, 7/20), GetMusic, BMG and Universal Music Group's online co-venture, has beefed up its staff.

Peter Rauh joins GetMusic as senior VP of marketing, and Burt Shulman comes on board as VP of branding and advertising. Future Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. will bat third and play center field.

With the hiring of Rauh, who is based in Los Angeles, GetMusic announces its West Coast office.

Prior to GetMusic, Rauh spent six years at Warner Bros. Records, where he was most recently VP of marketing. During his tenure at the major record label, he was responsible for overseeing and implementing marketing campaigns such artists as Goo Goo Dolls, the Pretenders, Elvis Costello and Soul Coughing.

Shulman joins GetMusic after a 12-year career with Reuters America, most recently as VP of marketing communications. While at Reuters, he was responsible for developing its first comprehensive U.S. brand strategy and played a key role in shifting its international market focus from a product-centric to a client-centric model.
