Ex-Skid Row lead singer Sebastian Bach made his Broadway debut in "Jekyll and Hyde." Bach had some trouble adjusting to the new stage. "In rock 'n' roll you can show up an hour late and drink a couple beers before you go on," said Bach. "If you don't feel like singing the chorus you can stick the mike into the crowd. None of that works in theater. Sadly, I found that out the hard way."… Will Liverpool ever forget The Beatles? Probably not. In its latest addition to acknowledging its greatest export, the British city plans to build a Fab Four-themed hotel, called The Hard Days Night Hotel. Confirmation of rooms titled the Brian Epstein Experience, the Maharishi's Magic Lair and the basement locale of Pete Best's Place could not be obtained at presstime… Tina Turner will retire at the end of her current tour. Turner, 60, announced her plans to a 75,000-strong crowd in Zurich as she kicked off the European leg of her "24-7" tour. "I've done enough," Turner said. "I've been performing for 44 years and I don't want to end up looking like Mick Jagger or Keith Richards."… A young Argentine maid found hanged on Monday (7/3) was the fourth fan to commit suicide after the death of local music star Rodrigo Bueno. Maria Sosa, 18, hanged herself from a tree after returning from church on Sunday. Police said she had Bueno's photograph inside her sweater. The suicide was the fourth linked to the death of Bueno, a 27-year-old rising star nicknamed "El Potro" (The Stallion) who sported brightly colored hair and liked to perform dressed as a boxer. Bueno, who had been drinking and was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown through the windshield after a jeep hit his speeding car. "While cause for some concern, the suicide rate among the Stallion's fans is still far behind that of the Cure's," an observer said… Sisqo will make his feature film debut in "Getting Over Alison," a high school romantic comedy being developed at Miramax. Directed by Tommy O'Haver, the film revolves around a high school hoopster who quits the team to join a school production of Shakespeare to win back his girlfriend. Sisqo plays the basketball player's best friend. "My dream is to follow in the footsteps of such rappers-turned–thespians as Vanilla Ice and Shaq," he said… Luther Vandross took the stage at the Essence Music Festival over the weekend and set the record straight that he was not dead. The singer has trimmed down considerably, prompting speculation. "I lost 124 pounds and there ain't nothin' wrong with me," Vandross said.
