Thomas Newman received the Richard Kirk Award for outstanding career achievement at BMI's Film & Television Awards dinner, held last night at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. He also received film music awards for "American Beauty," "Erin Brockovich" and "The Green Mile."
Top TV music awards were presented to W.G. "Snuffy" Walden ("The Drew Carey Show," "Providence," "The West Wing"), Bruce Miller ("Becker," "Frasier") and Mike Post ("Law And Order," "NYPD Blue").
