TUESDAY CHART WRAP-UP

What Went On Mediabase's Top 40, Rhythmic and Alternative Charts

Hey, Buddy! Let’s take a look at the action on three primary Mediabase charts, shall we?

TOP 40
No surprise here: Katy Perry’s “Unconditionally” (Capitol) is the #1 Most Added record of the week in Top 40 land. Three records had outstanding impact weeks; NONONO’s “Pumpin Blood” (WB), Sia’s “Elastic Heart”(RCA-Republic) and Jake Miller’s “Collide” (eOne). Hollywood has another big week on Zendaya’s “Replay,” RCA delivers Most Added status for the second week in a row on Pitbull’s “Timber” and Columbia has the big breakthrough week on The Neighborhood’s “Sweater Weather.”

RHYTHMIC
Lupe Fiasco
f/Ed Sheeran “Old School Love” takes home top honors this week, with “Elastic Heart” from Sia f/The Weeknd (RCA-Republic) right behind. Rick Ross has a solid impact week with “No Games” featuring Future (Def Jam/IDJ). Drake’s new one, “All Me” (YM/CM/Republic) Kid Ink’s “Show Me” (RCA) August Alsina’s “I Luv This Sh*t” (Def Jam/IDJ) and Ciara’s “Overdose” (Epic) all keep their momentum moving forward to new stations.

ALTERNATIVE
This week was all about the variety. RCA’s New Politics score Most Added honors with their new single, “Tonight You’re Perfect.” Hot on their tails are Republic’s Lorde with “Team” and The Colourist’s “Little Games.” Red Bull RecordsAWOLNATION score with “Thiskidsnotalright.” Island has a real nice week of adds with The Airborne Toxic Event’s “Hell And Back” and The Killers’ “Shot At The Night.” Other movers were Kings Of Leon’s “Temple” (RCA), Columbia’s MS MR and The Neighbourhood (the latter with “Afraid”), and XL’s Vampire Weekend, who continue to close out “Unbelievers.”
