It was a big week for songs making their official impact, including ”This Is How We Do” by Capitol’s Katy Perry, which captured Most Added honors, and (for a fifth week) “Amnesia” by labelmates 5 Seconds of Summer. Other first-timers include Bebe Rexha’s “Can’t Stop Drinking About You” (Warner Bros.) and R5’s “Heart Made Up On You” (Hollywood). Republic not only scores with first-timer Nicki Minaj and her latest single, “Anaconda,” but also with Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” and Jessie J. + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang.” Epic closes out the action with Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” for a seventh consecutive week; Def Jam also closes out with Jeremih f/YG’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em.”

RHYTHM

As expected, YMCMB/Republic’s Nicki Minaj takes home top honors for "Anaconda" and more than doubles the action on the nearest competition, Beyoncé f/Nicki Minaj’s "Flawless" (Columbia). "You and I" by Columbia's John Legend and "Love Robbery" by Republic's Kalin and Myles also have solid weeks. Other records picking up new stations include Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s " Bang Bang" via Republic (are you seeing a theme here?) and Sam Smith’s "Stay With Me" via Capitol.

ALTERNATIVE

Virgin's Bastille had a stellar week with their latest single, "Flaws," as it was unquestionably the Most Added record. Nonesuch/Warner Bros.’ The Black Keys are off to a strong start with their new single, "Gotta Get Away," a week before official release. Columbia’s buzzing Hozier has a stellar close-out week with "Take Me to Church." Capitol also scores with Broods’ new track, "Mother & Father." Other winners included KONGOS’ "I'm Only Joking" (Epic) and Death From Above 1979’s "Trainwreck 1979" (Warner Bros.)
