IT’S JUSTIN TIME IN THE U.K.

Superstar Debuts with 106k in First Week, Fastest-Selling Title of the Year in Britain
Justin Timberlake has crossed over the Atlantic.

The multi-talented hyphenate superstar’s new RCA/Sony album, The 20/20 Experience, debuted at #1 in the U.K., with 106k in sales, culminating his three-week reign atop the British singles charts with “Mirrors,” now #2.

Timberlake will debut at #1 tomorrow on the HITS Album chart with a total being estimated at 975-980k, which dwarfs the 500k predictions just a scant few weeks ago.

Polydor/Universal British girl group the Saturdays scored their first chart-topping hit with “What About Us,” which succeeded “Mirrors” at #1.

Timberlake’s total topped the previous year’s best, David Bowie’s RCA/Sony comeback, The Next Day, which bowed last week with 91k, giving the label two #1 debuts in a row.

The 20/20 Experience represents Timberlake’s best-ever U.K. sales week, topping the 90k first-week sales for FutureSex/LoveSounds in 2006.

Bowie slipped to #2 with 35k new sales, as Timberlake outsold the rest of the top five combined. Emeli Sandé’s Our Version of Events (Virgin EMI/Universal) held at #3, with Polydor/Universal’s Les Miserables cast album back up #10-4 and Bastille’s Bad Blood (Virgin EMI/Universal) down #4-5.

Last week’s runner-up, Bon Jovi’s What About Now (Mercury/Universal), fell to # 9, with Suede’s reunion album Bloodsports, on their own label, in at #10.

On the singles side, behind the Saturdays and Timberlake, P!nk’s “Just Give Me a Reason” (RCA/Sony), featuring Nate Ruess, holds at # 3.
