Well, that happened. Time to put down your dry-erase markers and relive the latest developments on three key Mediabase format charts.

TOP 40
It was good news in pairs this week at Top 40. RCA delivers Most Added for Pitbull f/Ke$ha “Timber” out of the box with Justin Timberlake right behind. Interscope delivers on Imagine Dragons and OneRepublic. Capitol scores with Emeli Sande and Bastille. WB has a big week on impact with Ylvis and closes out Jason Derulo. Island Def Jam had an impressive week with Rihanna and Big Sean.

RHYTHMIC
It was a great day for RCA, as they have the top two Most Added this week with Kid Ink f/Chris Brown “Show Me” and Justin Timberlake’s “TKO.” Ciara’s “Overdose” (Epic) has a great impact week, and Jay Z’s “Tom Ford” (Roc-a-Fella/Roc Nation) and Pitbull f/Ke$ha “Timber” (RCA) post very impressive weeks as well. Three from Def Jam/IDJ, Maejor Ali f/Juicy J & Justin Bieber “Lolly,” August Alsina’s “I Luv This Sh*t” and Rihanna’s “What Now,” continue to close out stations.

ALTERNATIVE
Kings of Leon
’s new single “Temple” (RCA) is the Most Added song at the format this week. Pearl Jam (Republic) has another strong add week with “Sirens.” “Do I Wanna Know?” by Arctic Monkeys (Domino) is closing out really well, as is Lava/Republic’s Lorde with “Team.” New acts like the Chvrches (Glassnote), Colourist (Republic) and HAIM (Columbia) make noise this week. Island/IDJ’s Airborne Toxic Event had an excellent week with their brand new single, “Hell and Back,” which will be featured in the buzzed-about film Dallas Buyers Club.
