Country remains king, as Florida Georgia line goes #1. Albums from Bob Seger, You+Me, Hoodie Allen, Game, Jessie J & Idina Menzel see Top 15 debuts. U2's Songs of Innoncence bows just outside the Top 10 for its physical release. Babs and Sam Smith stay hot.

ANYTHING REALLY DOES GO

Florida Georgia Line Has Another #1; Eight Debuts in Top 15; U2 Gets Physical

Republic Nashville’s Florida Georgia Line score their first #1 and bring Country a second week of sweet success, as Anything Goes tops the HITS Building Album Sales Chart with 200k.

FYI, their 2012 debut release, Here’s to the Good Times, sold 63k out of the box and 2m+ RTD.

Broken Bow’s Jason Aldean slid ever so slightly to #2, bringing in another 92k (-67%) for Old Boots, New Dirt’s second week.

Meanwhile, eight albums debuted in the Top 15 this week, including, Ride Out, Bob Seger’s first set of new material in eight years; it appeared in the #3 slot, bringing in 57k for Capitol.

RCA’s You+Me, an Americana duo consisting of Alecia Moore (aka P!nk) and Dallas Green (aka City and Colour), saw their debut album bow at #4 with 49k.

Columbia's Babs held together the Top 5, raking in another 41k (-14%) for Partners. For perspective, the singer’s 10th #1 album has already sold 486k in five weeks. Don’t be surprised if that number continues to grow through the holidays.

Speaking of seasonal strides, Idina Menzel’s Holiday Wishes (Warner Bros.) bowed at #13 with 20k, which is great for a holiday record released in October. This one will undoubtedly continue to increase through November and December. We’re told there’s a secret track on it featuring John Travolta that’s a real tongue-twister.

Capitol's breakout star Sam Smith moves #9-6, reeling in another 37k in his 18th week on the chart. A killer new single and stops at CBS Sunday Morning and, more recently, Today, account for his 52% bump.

Hoodie Allen’s debut, self-released album landed at #7 with 33k. At #8, eOne’s Game grabbed 31k, and, at #9, Lava/Republic’s Jessie J grabbed 25k.

Meanwhile, Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga’s compilation of standards rounded out the Top 10 with 24k for Columbia/Interscope.

After being digitally released for free to iTunes consumers worldwide last month, the physical release of U2’s Songs of Innocence (Interscope) moved 23k, landing them at #11.

Columbia’s breakout star Hozier glides to #12 in his second week with 20k (-65%) for his self-titled release, which features the smash single, “Take Me to Church.” The song and album, both cultivated patiently by the label, got a big boost from a dramatic Beats ad starring LeBron James.
