Columbia’s pop-rocking sister act HAIM nabbed the #8 spot with 24k.

DOUBLE VISION!

Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 Part 2 Marks His Second #1 of 2013, While Lorde Scores #3 Bow

Have you noticed that RCA’s Justin Timberlake is having a pretty good year?

The second volume of the multi-talented artist’s 20/20 Experience tops the HITS Album Sales Chart this week with 348k.

If you can cast your mind waaaay back to March, you may recall that part 1 sold 968k out of the gate (still the year's high-water mark by a considerable margin); it’s moved more than 2.3 million to date. Oh, and it’s back in the Top 10 this week, moving another 18k (+48%); a $7.99 iTunes sale undoubtedly goosed its return. If you surmised that it’s the week’s greatest gainer, you win the stuffed elephant.

Lava/Republic’s beguiling Lorde, meanwhile, whose “Royals” is an inescapable, multi-format behemoth, had a #3, 127k bow with Pure Heroine. The kiwi teen’s Love Club EP has already sold 157k; she’s got a second single, “Team,” taking off at PoMo and selling, so stay tuned.

Columbia Nashville’s Tyler Farr sold 27k, good for a #6 debut, with his pleasingly titled Redneck Crazy. The Top 10’s other debut comes from Columbia’s pop-rocking sister act HAIM (the latest musical crush of our own Bud Scoppa); the trio nabbed the #8 spot with 24k.

Of the chart’s prior residents, Drake (YM/CM/Republic) added 146k to his take for the #2 position (-78%); WB’s Cher stitched up another 33k for #4 (-45%); Capitol Nashville’s Luke Bryan dropped a mere 10% with 32k and retained the #5 post; RCA’s Kings of Leon sold 24k for a #7 roost; Brushfire/Republic’s Jack Johnson rolled up 18k (#9, -43%); and Capitol’s Elton John did another 17k (#11, -64%).

Streeting today are RCA’s Miley Cyrus, Republic Nashville’s Cassadee Pope and Prospect Park’s Korn. Did we mention Miley Cyrus? OK, just making sure.

Well, that was invigorating. Would someone please bring us our sublingual cannabis drops now? They’re purely medicinal, don’t you know.
