Quantcast
There were a lot of freezes this week at Hot AC, but not enough to stop Colbie Caillat’s Ryan Tedder-penned new smash, “Hold On” (Republic).

CHART RECAP: FOUR FORMATS,
NO WAITING

What Got Added at Pop, Crossover,
PoMo and Hot AC

Wait, you're still at your desk? Yeah, us too. Here's a recap of the radio-add action at four key formats. Once you finish it, we can both have a nice cocktail.

TOP 40
It was another great big add week for A Great Big World w/Christina Aguilera’s "Say Something" (Black Magnetic/Epic), which captured #1 Most Added honors at Top 40, just edging out Interscope’s Lady Gaga. Meanwhile, a couple of follow-ups to former #1s score big as well: Avicii’s "Hey Brother" (PMRD/Island/IDJ) and Lorde’s "Team" (Lava/Republic). Bastille’s "Pompeii" (Virgin) and Britney Spears’ "Perfume" (RCA) make the list for a second week in a row. Scoring double digit weeks are Zendaya’s "Replay" (Hollywood) and Passenger’s "Let Her Go" (WB).

CROSSOVER
Team Interscope has a solid week with Timbaland "Know 'Bout Me" and Lady Gaga "Do What U Want," and another great week for J Cole "She Knows" (Roc Nation/Columbia). Other winners this week include two other Columbia tracks, Mack Wilds’ "Own It" and John Legend’s "All Of Me," as well as "Ride" from Republic’s SoMo. Epic also has a nice week as Future f/Miley Cyrus’ "Real And True" and Yo Gotti’s "Cold Blood" continue to gather new stations.

ALTERNATIVE
AWOLNATION's "Thiskidsnotalright" (Red Bull), Broken Bells’ "Holding on for Life" (Columbia) and "Heavy Bells" from J.Roddy Walston f/The Business (ATO) share Most Added honors at Modern Rock radio this week. New Politics (RCA) has a nice week with follow-up single "Tonight You're Perfect." Vampire Weekend (XL) closes out "Unbelievers." Merge gets the ball rolling with Arcade Fire's "Afterlife" as WRFF, WEQX, Music Choice and KROX jump in.

HOT AC
There were a lot of freezes this week at the format, but not enough to stop Colbie Caillat’s Ryan Tedder-penned new smash, "Hold On" (Republic). Also scoring well this week were "Story of My Life" from One Direction, coming off the AMAs with their Midnight Memories heading for #1 next week, American Authors (Island/IDJ) with their much-synched hit "Best Day of My Life" and The Neighbourhood’s "Sweater Weather" (Columbia), crossing big from their #1 Alternative base.

There ya go, buddy. Bottoms up.
