Now 44, Ne-Yo and Aerosmith Debut in Top 5, While Taylor Returns for a Third Week at #1
Taylor Swift’s Big Machine album Red spends its third—and temporarily final—week at #1, racking up another 195k in sales to bring her total to 1.75 million and counting.

Swift’s Red is now the best-selling album released this year, and second only to Adele’s 21 in sales from the beginning of 2012.

Capitol’s latest installment of the Now series, the 44th, to be exact, is the week’s top debut, bowing at #2 with a healthy 99k.

Verve’s Rod Stewart holiday album, Merry Christmas Baby, remains #3 with 70k for a two-week total of nearly 165k.

Motown’s Ne-Yo album R.E.D. (#4) and Columbia’s Aerosmith comeback, Music from Another Dimension (#5), are the two other new Top 5 entries.

Broken Bow’s Jason Aldean (#6), Glassote’s Mumford & Sons (#7), Aftermath/Interscope’s Kendrick Lamar (#8), Maybach Music Group/WB’s Meek Mill (#9) and Capitol Nashville’s Lady Antebellum (#10) round out the Top 10.

Other Top 50 newcomers include Provident’s Third Day (#11), Razor & Tie’s All That Remains (#14), Fearless’ Punk Goes Pop Vol. 5 compilation (#15), Columbia’s Glee: The Music Presents Glease (#21), Capitol’s Now Disney (#32), Angel’s Celtic Woman Home for Christmas album (#41) and Republic’s Colbie Caillat Christmas in the Sand (#50).

Michael Buble’s Reprise album Christmas re-enters at #18, as does Republic’s Of Monsters and Men (#48).

Warner Bros. Nashville’s Blake Shelton holiday album is the week’s largest double-digit gainer, moving #28-12, +77%, followed by Lady A (#15-10, +31%), Mercury Nashville/19/Interscope’s Scotty McCreery (#20-16, +28%), A&M/Octone’s Maroon 5 (#23-19, +27%), Interscope’s Ellie Goulding (#48-45, +19%), Interscope’s Imagine Dragons (#42, +14%), fueled by ramen’s fun. (#25, +10%) and Island/IDJ’s Justin Bieber (#31, +10%).

Releases in stores this week include Syco/Columbia’s One Direction, Republic’s The Weeknd, RCA’s Christina Aguilera, Reprise’s Green Day, Atlantic’s Twilight Saga soundtrack, Republic’s Soundgarden, UMe’s The Rolling Stones, Interscope’s Lana Del Rey EP, Madison Gate's Pentatonix and Columbia’s Susan Boyle.
