YOUR RADIO CHART PREVIEW

What to Expect at Top 40, Rhythm and Alternative Next Week

It's time to peer into our crystal ball and tell you your fortune. OK, not your fortune, exactly, but likely developments on three key Mediabase radio charts.

TOP 40
This week's new #1 is Columbia's Pharrell Williams with "Happy," and labelmate John Legend is this week’s #1 Greatest Gainer, moving quickly through the Top 10. Others joining the Top 10 this week are Demi Lovato’s "Neon Lights" (Hollywood) and American Authors’ "Best Day of My Life" (IDJ). RCA is looking good as Justin Timberlake’s "Not a Bad Thing" has a Greatest Gainer week and breaks through the Top 20, while Pitbull f/GRL’s “Wild Wild Love” and Hot Chelle Rae’s “Don’t Say Goodnight” chart this week. Republic also has a Greatest Gainer jumping into the Top 20 with The Chainsmokers’ "#SELFIE." Columbia's Little Mix also joins the chart with “Move.”

RHYTHM
Columbia and Pharrell’s "Happy" hold down the #1 spot again this week. The red-hot label also has John Legend’s "All of Me," Beyoncé’s "Partition" and DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s "Turn Down for What" among the most increased this week. Republic celebrates as Young Money f/Drake’s "Trophies" rockets inside the Top 25. Def Jam/IDJ will see YG f/Drake’s "Who Do You Love" and Iggy Azalea’s "Fancy" both debut this week, and RCA's Kid Ink is set to bow with "Main Chick."

ALTERNATIVE
Arctic Monkeys stay firmly in control of #1 with "Do I Wanna Know?" (Domino). The rest of the Top 10 stays the same, but Epic's KONGOS are having a strong week of spins, up 150x, as "Come With Me Now" holds at #2. RCA's Bleachers is also having a great week of spins, up 200x, for the fast rising "I Wanna Get Better," which will quickly move to #17. Republic's Lorde is off to a fast start with "Glory and Gore.” That one will have a strong chart debut right around #30. Warner Bros.Linkin Park gets inside the Top 20 in its second week with "Guilty All The Same." The Black Keys arrive with a new single on Monday entitled "Fever” (Nonesuch); that’ll have a significant impact on the chart. Stay Tuned!
