With four bulleting records--Sara Bareilles, A Great Big World, The Fray and Avril Lavigne with Chad Kroeger--Team Epic's making a big showing at Hot AC.

FRIDAY CHART PREVIEW

Next Week's Mediabase Radio Charts: A Mind-Blowing Vision of the Future

TGIF, right, buddy? Before the margaritas start flowin', let's make a token effort to appear busy by previewing the action at a handful of key Mediabase radio charts.

Kudos to everyone whose relentless grinding made the success of these records possible.

TOP 40
Topping the chart this week will be “Wake Me Up” by PRMD/Island/IDJ’s Avicii, with RCA’s Miley Cyrus waiting in the wings to see is she can swing into the slot with “Wrecking Ball” (#2 Greatest Gainer) in the next couple of weeks. Warner Bros. has two climbing toward the Top 15: Jason Derulo’s “Marry Me” and Tegan & Sara’s “Closer” are both making nice moves. Capitol’s Katy Perry is this week’s #1 Greatest Gainer, soaring up the chart toward Top 20 in just two weeks! Columbia’s The Neighborhood enters the Top 20 with “Sweater Weather,” just as a cold front takes over the entire eastern half of the country—perfect timing on their part. 305/RCA’s Pitbull is making a big move into the mid-20s, while Epic’s Sara Bareilles and Republic’s John Newman look chart-bound. And Mosley/Interscope's One Republic is set to have a giant week at radio behind huge single sales.

RHYTHMIC
The top 10 is unchanged this week. Records #11-20 are all positive, as Roc-a-Fella/Roc Nation’s Jay Z jumps into the Top 15 and Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” (RCA) surges into the Top 20. Drake’s “All Me” (YM/CM/Republic) and Kid Ink’s “Show Me” (RCA) have solid increases this week, while Pitbull f/Ke$ha “Timber” (RCA) and “Lolly” from Def Jam/IDJ’s Maejor Ali f/Juicy J & Justin Bieber are inching closer to the chart.

ALTERNATIVE
Virgin
’s Bastille will enjoy a third week at #1, come Monday, with “Pompeii.” Right behind is RCA’s Cage the Elephant, #2 and closing fast with “Come A Little Closer.” There’s no other movement in the Top 10, but Pearl Jam (Monkeywrench/Republic), Arctic Monkeys (Domino) and The Neighbourhood’s “Afraid” (Columbia) are making serious moves to get there. Chrvches (Glassnote) will climb inside the Top 30 with “The Mother We Share.” Kings of Leon’s latest, “Temple” (RCA), and “Hell And Back” by Island/IDJ’s The Airborne Toxic Event will have solid chart debuts.

HOT AC
Lava/Republic’s Lorde grabs the #1 slot at Hot AC this week—her fourth format conquest (added to her AAA, Alternative, Pop trophies). American Authors’ “Best Day of My Life” (Virgin/IDJ) makes a nice move into the Top 20. Capitol’s Katy Perry is the #1 Greatest Gainer at Hot AC Chart as well as Pop, and is sitting pretty in the mid-20s. “Say Something” by Black Magnetic/Epic’s A Great Big World adds some great majors and makes a solid move into the Top 30. With four bulleting acts--Sara Bareilles battling for the top, AGBW breaking and big action on The Fray's charting “Love Don’t Die” and the Avril Lavigne/Chad Kroeger duet--Team Epic's making a big showing at the format. Meanwhile, Warner Bros.Jason Derulo’s “Marry Me” is headed for the chart.

Well, that was illuminating. Let's drink!
